FC Barcelona is slowly but surely bettering its financial situation. The sporting director, Deco, has been doing good work, and the club is making revenue through many operations such as player sales and percentage clause of future sales of a player. A similar situation has emerged as Atletico Madrid have approached Barca in hopes of permanently signing Barca loaned player Clement Lenglet.
Should Barca keep or sell?
Clement Lenglet has been impressive for Atletico Madrid this season, which is why they are interested in keeping the player beyond the season. Barcelona have demanded 10 million euros for the player but Atletico want to negotiate a lower price.
Hansi Flick’s Barca already have 4 World-class centre-backs in the squad, and according to reports, the signing of Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen is imminent for the next season. The arrival of the German centre-back would leave no room for Lenglet in the squad. According to reports, Andreas Christensen has also started training with the group which further rules out a possibility of Lenglet staying at Barca.
The sale of Clement Lenglet will be a helping hand for Barca in the summer transfer window to strengthen the squad by making key signings before the start of the next season.
