What Lamine needs to do to win a Ballon d’Or

To win the Ballon d’Or, you have to be the standout player of the season. Rodri, the previous Ballon d’Or winner, is a clear example of this.

Big game performances

Showing up in big and crucial games is a big factor in becoming a Ballon d’Or favourite. Raphinia‘s performances this season are a clear example. The Brazilian has put on statement performances throughout the Champions League, El ClĂĄsicos, and crucial La Liga games. Lamine will have to consistently perform in crucial games to become a top candidate.

Putting up the numbers

Mohamed Salah would still have been a favourite to win the Ballon d’Or if he were in the Champions League. The reason is the big numbers the Egyptian is putting up this season. With 32 goals and 23 assists this season for Liverpool, Salah is having a Ballon d’Or worthy season, with the only drawback being his elimination from the Champions League. Lamine Yamal will have to score 25 in number of goals and have more than 20 assists to win the Ballon d’Or.
