Barca closely monitoring Italian striker Moise Kean

Barca are monitoring several strikers across Europe to find Robert Lewandowski’s replacement, as the Polish striker is 36 and is closer to leaving Barca. A lot of names have emerged as potential candidates for Barca’s next number 9, with Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyökeres, and Benjamin Ć eĆĄko being the most prominent. Moise Kean has joined the list recently as the Italian Striker is having an exceptional season with ACF Fiorentina.

Redemption arc for the youngster

Moise Kean, until now, has had a career of ups and downs as he struggled at Juventus and Everton. Finally, the 25-year-old is flourishing at Fiorentina with 21 goals and 3 assists so far this season. Moise is the 2nd top scorer in Serie A with 17 goals, overperforming his xG (15.4).

Direct and Quick

Moise has quick feet to turn away from defenders and get a shot away from the most awkward angles. The Italian striker knows how to produce consistent shots at goal, which is the ideal type of striker for Flick’s Barca in my opinion. Moise has excellent link-up play, which is always a requirement to be Barca’s Striker.

Versatile Forward?

Due to his pace and excellent abilities on the ball, Moise Kean is capable of playing on either wing. Moise can play a similar role to what Raphinha is currently doing for this Barcelona side.

In my opinion, the ideal candidate remains Alexander Isak; however, if that operation fails, Moise Kean can be a great alternative.
