Barca suffer an emotional blow

Before the La Liga fixture against Osasuna, shocking news came out of Barcelona as first team Dr. Carles Minarro Garcia had unexpectedly passed away. The match has been postponed to a later date as Osasuna agreed to it. The players are devastated as many of them left the Montjuic in tears with a heavy heart.

With the return Champions League leg vs Benfica looming over Hansi Flick and his men, this is a big blow for them emotionally. Hansi Flick must pull the team together in these times and the players must not lose focus. The team must win every title and dedicate them to Dr. Carlos and his family, who we stand beside firmly.

Laporta: “We felt that postponing the match was the right decision, and we thank everyone who played a role in making this decision for their understanding, as we believe we made the right decision in the circumstances. Thank you very much.”

Laporta: “He was a man loved by everyone, and he passed away this evening during the team camp. As you can imagine, the players, the staff, the manager, they were all very sad. There was a lot of sadness, because he was a very loved person. We all loved him.”

Laporta: “Carles leaves behind two children, Gerard and Elana, and his wife, who, as you can imagine, was very affected, which is normal and logical in these circumstances. We stand with them all, his wife, children, and mother.”
