Spain were the favourites to win the game, but unexpectedly Spain was trailing after an early France goal from Kolo Muani. But the response didn’t take long. In the 21st minute, Lamine received the ball outside the box, took a touch and unleashed a brilliant curler that bent past the goalkeeper into the top bins.

The stadium erupted. Commentators were on their feet. The internet exploded.

With that brilliant strike, Lamine became the youngest player ever to score in a men’s European Championship at just 16 years and 362 days old.

Why this Goal Became Viral?

Before the game, French midfielder Rabiot gave an interview.

Here is what he said:  “Lamine Yamal will have to prove more if he wants to reach the final.” He made a taunt at Lamine before the game.

Lamine then made a brilliant response on the field, which humbled Rabiot. The main reason this goal went viral was, because when Lamine made the goal, Rabiot was the one who was in front of him. Rabiot was supposed to block the shot, but Lamine stunned him.
