During Barcelona’s dominating performance in a gaol fest against Valencia Hansi Flick wanted to make a substitution and replace Frenki De Jong with Gavi. However, the no. 6 of Barca excused himself from the coach and gave him an alternative suggestion.
Pablo Torre receives much-needed minutes
Gavi advised Hansi Flick to bring on Pablo Torre instead as he has played considerably low minutes this season. Hansi Flick was very impressed by this gesture of Gavi and mentioned it in his post-match press conference.
Hansi Flick: “I loved what Gavi did⊠I spoke about bringing him in for the last 15 minutes and he said: Coach, bring Pablo Torre in”.
“This type of behaviour is fantastic for a coach. I love Gavi, he’s amazing.”
What’s next for Pablo Torre
Pablo Torre is still very young 21 years old and has room for development under Hansi Flick. He is an excellent attacking midfielder with an eye for goal. He can be an answer to low-block terms that Hansi Flick has struggled to unlock this season. The youngster has 4 goals and 3 assists in 11 matches for Barca so far and looks to add more as he is an excellent player to come off the bench and make an impact on the game.
