📌Manuel Pellegrini received 4,805 votes.
📌Celta Vigo’s Claudio Giráldez managed just 2,064 votes.
There is no reason why Flick wasn’t awarded the honour.
Flick’s Impact
In the month of March, Barcelona kept a clean month without any loss. They delivered outstanding performances throughout the La Liga campaign, ending the month without any loss or draw. Under the management of Hansi Flick, the team showcased tactical brilliance, resilience, and consistency. Barcelona ended the month scoring fifteen goals and conceding only three in just four games.
Barcelona started off the month with a dominant home victory over Real Sociedad with the score-line ending 4-0. Barca later overturned a 2-0 deficit with four late goals against Atletico Madrid, away from home showcasing their mentality and attacking power. Barcelona got another perfect 3-0 win over Osasuna that solidified their lead in La Liga. Barcelona ended the month in style with a 4-1 win in the Catalan derby against Girona.
The month of March reflected Hansi Flick’s tactical brilliance, his strategic substitutes especially the game against Atletico, and the defensive solidity his team brings.
Conclusion
There is no doubt Pellegrini is a great coach. Based on the fans’ votes, performances, and impact, Hansi Flick should’ve won this award. If La Liga wants to maintain fans’ trust in awards, it needs to ensure that both fan votes and performances are considered properly. There was no such reason why Hansi Flick was not chosen for this award. Flick’s side ended the month scoring fifteen goals and conceding only three in just four games. On the other hand, Betis scored eight conceding four goals. This seems to be a little bias against Barcelona. What do you guys have to say?
