Lamine Yamal’s trophy cabinet and what’s next for the Starboy

Lamine Yamal is one of the most decorated teenagers in football history. At just 17 years old, the La Masia graduate has a collection of trophies many veterans dream of. The present and future of Barcelona and football itself, Lamine Yamal, has already won most of the competitions he has played in.

2-time Spanish Champion

Lamine Yamal only started to be a major part of the squad last season but he has been part of the squad for almost 3 years. The youngster was called up to the first team by Xavi HernĂĄndez when he was just 15 years old and won La Liga in the 22/23 season.

Under Hansi Flick, Lamine Yamal reached new levels of stardom, becoming one of the most important players of Barcelona. He scored 9 goals and provided 13 assists in La Liga this season. He has the most assists in the league and the most big chances created. When Lamine got injured in the middle of the season, his absence was very visible on the field. This shows that he doesn’t just provide goal contributions but also unpredictability in attack. The highest rated player on FotMob and 2nd highest on Sofascore, just behind Raphinha, Lamine Yamal was a key player in Barcelona’s La Liga campaign this season.

He showed up when it mattered the most for Barcelona. A goal and an assist in the round of 16, a goal in the quarter-final, an assist in each leg of the semi-final, and two more in the finals against arch-rivals Real Madrid. Lamine Yamal’s stellar performances led Barcelona to a Copa del Rey title since the 20/21 season with Leo Messi.
