- FC Barcelona are eyeing a hidden in Brazil that can replenish their midfield in the future
- What Hansi Flick Can expect to get
- Can Breno Bidon adapt to Barca
A hidden pearl in Brazil
According to reports by Diario Sport Barcelona are interested in making a move for Breno Bidon (19yr) who plays for Corinthians. In January 2024, the scouting department sent members of staff from Catalonia to Brazil to see the Copinha final where the playmaker’s outfit came out on top.
There are very good reports about him and his technique, as well as the good vision he boasts of the game. Bidon has a contract until 2028 with a market value of just 8m euros, which Barça want to bring down by including variables. If he is signed, he’s likely to join the reserve side before making the jump to the senior team.
Player Profile
The youngster is a Defensive/central midfielder with a lot of promise. He moves the ball around well and is solid defensively. Breno likes to play long balls to his attackers to initiate quick counters and has developed it as a precious skill. His defensive duties do not make him shy away from going further up the pitch to join attack and has a go at the goal when he feels he has enough space for a shot.
Can he fit in at Barca
Barca can benefit highly by his skillset as the Club has had a Defensive midfield crisis since the departure of Veteran and legend Sergio Busquets. The Brazillian has an impressive eye for runners and will be a treat to the likes of Raphinha and Lewandowski, However he has to work and improve his defensive positioning when facing counters from opposition. As per my analysis Breno can develop as a key player by playing for Barca Atletic before getting a call from Hansi Flick.
