Raphinha’s Bold Statement “I’d Think Twice About Barcelona”

During a press conference at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, where the team is training for the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Athletic Club, Raphinha spoke to the press conference and made some controversial claims.

The Statement

Dani Olmo and Pau Victor are currently ineligible to play for FC Barcelona due to the current situation regarding their registration. Raphinha was asked by the reporters to comment on the situation and share his thoughts on this.

“I can’t say no to you because then I’d be lying. I think it can affect the future,” he told reporters.

“If I were at another club, perhaps I would think about it. But when I came here, before signing, I knew the situation at the club and I waited to be able to come here and I don’t regret anything.”

“We have to trust that this will be resolved quickly. In the end, we get very positive messages and we have to wait,” he added.

“We know the same thing as you many times. We try to stay calm so we can do our work during the day. I hope that the people who are involved in this will bring us quick solutions.”

Raphinha was quite vocal about the topic and didn’t sugarcoat the statements he made, he was clear and on point. As a Barcelona captain, no one expects you to speak against the club, but Raphinha stated what he felt and this could also pressure the board to make things better as soon as possible.

Afterwards the press conference, Barcelona went for training and the club’s president Joan Laporta was spotted having a word with Raphinha before the session. There are no new reports of what was discussed but most probably it was regarding the bold statements Raphinha made.
