Real Madrid’s Interest: Could Lamine Yamal Betray Barcelona?

Lamine Yamal has become Barcelona’s golden boy in the past couple of years. He has terrorized European defenses with his match-winning performances and been Barca’s point of difference several times already. However, an interesting debate would be the La Masia star’s move away from Barca, that too, to Real Madrid. Could that ever happen? Florentino Perez has a history of attempting to hijack star Barcelona players. Let’s break this topic down.

Lamine Yamal’s ‘Impossible’ Stance Against Los Blancos

Lamine Yamal has been very vocal of the chances of him joining Real Madrid. In February earlier this year, the teenager prodigy made it crystal clear he will never join Real Madrid. He emphasized that there is no chance that anyone will ever see him feature in a Los Blancos jersey.

That’s an emphatic no, and it’s even more interesting seeing Yamal’s dad was a Real Madrid fan. Though Yamal is not just any talent, he is La Masia through and through, and a kid who’s lived with Barca values since his childhood. Yamal’s stance for Barca is very strong and this makes all Barca fans ecstatic.

Clasico King at 17: Yamal Has Terrorized Los Blancos

Some players are just born to torment their rivals. Leo Messi was one of these players, who throughtout his comprehensive history against Madrid, terrorized their defenders. And now it’s Yamal. He’s their new curse. A debut goal in Clasico in 4-0 running riot, a Spanish Super Cup final golazo and now two assists in the Copa del Rey finale. The kid just does not play, he decides games at 17.

This is by no means any coincidence. It’s Yamal’s mentality. The 17-year-old has always shown a huge mentality shift against Real Madrid. After winning the recent copa del rey finale, he said:

“They simply can’t beat us this year”.

And players like these do not just switch sides. This is why Yamal will never join Real Madrid. Maybe some players can be bought, like Luis Figo was back in the 2000’s, but La Masia is a different breed. It’s a culture that transcends monetary aspects and only values love and heart.
