Araújo Condition to stay
At the start of January 2025, Barcelona was on the verge of losing their captain, Ronald Araújo. The Uruguayan, who recently returned from injury, had difficulty finding minutes on the field because Barcelona’s center-back duo of Iñigo and Cubarsi was in impeccable form.
When Iñigo got injured, Araújo had an opportunity to fill the void and become a starter again. To be honest, Araújo didn’t impress much. His on-ball movement is not the best and he loses the ball very quickly. On the other hand, Iñigo was in great form and was the sole reason for Barcelona’s great start to the season.
