Since the signing of Spotify as the official sponsor of FC Barcelona, a famous artist has been featured on the club’s jersey for El ClĂĄsico. Drake, Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay have had their names on the La Blaugrana jersey for El ClĂĄsico.

Formed in London in 1962 Rolling Stones are an English rock band. The band has been active for more than six decades and is one of the most influential and popular bands of the rock era in the early 1960s. Rolling Stone featured the Barça shirt on 28th October 2023 in a La Liga fixture, El Clåsico. A match that ended in a 2-1 defeat after Jude Bellingham scored twice, including an added-time winner.
Rosalia
Rosalia Vila Tobella is a Spanish singer who makes songs in the pop genre. The singer is quite famous among the Latin people. Rosalia featured on the Barça shirt on 22 April 2024 in a La Liga El Clåsico. The Blaugrana ended up throwing away a 2-1 lead to lose the game 3-2 at the Bernabéu.
Coldplay
A British rock band formed in 1997 in London. Out of all the artists that have been featured on the Blaugrana jersey, Coldplay has to be the most fitting one. The band’s Viva la Vida has become a 2nd anthem for Barcelona that instils nostalgia for the glory days of the club. On Instagram and TikTok edits of Pep Guardiola’s dominant and artistic Barcelona are posted with this song. Coldplay was imprinted on the Blaugrana jersey for the La Liga El ClĂĄsico on 27 October 2024 at the BernabĂ©u. A game that saw Hansi Flick’s Barcelona demolish Real Madrid 4-0 in front of their fans. Barça went on to win 5-2 in the Super Copa final as well.
Taylor Swift X Barca
Although this collaboration will not be the most favourite among some Barca fans, it will bring Barca a lot of financial benefits. Taylor Swift has a huge global following and media presence. This can bring shirt sales to the club and media attention as well as a boost in ticket sales.
A controversial history of Balde and Taylor Swift
The fiasco dates back to 2023 when Alejandro Balde competed for the Golden Boy award with Bellingham and Jamal Musiala. An old tweet of Balde was made famous by the Taylor Swift fans (Swifties), which quoted “Do I like Taylor Swift? No, I don’t like her music”. Taylor Swift fans were not too happy about the statement. They decided to launch a campaign to vote for Bellingham to prevent Balde from winning the award. However, the votes from fans do not determine the winner as the votes from journalists have the final say. Bellingham did end up winning the award, which, in my opinion, should have been won by Musiala, who had a better season.
