Since the signing of Spotify as the official sponsor of FC Barcelona, a famous artist has been featured on the club’s jersey for El ClĂĄsicos. Drake, Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay have had their names on the La Blaugrana jersey for El ClĂĄsicos.

Although this collaboration will not be the most favourite among some Barca fans, it will bring Barca a lot of financial benefits. Taylor Swift has a huge global following and media presence. This can bring shirt sales to the club and media attention as well as a boost in ticket sales.
A controversial history of Balde and Taylor Swift
The fiasco dates back to 2023 when Alejandro Balde competed for the Golden Boy award with Bellingham and Jamal Musiala. An old tweet of Balde was made famous by the Taylor Swift fans (Swifties), which quoted “Do I like Taylor Swift? No, I don’t like her music”. Taylor Swift fans were not too happy about the statement. They decided to launch a campaign to vote for Bellingham to prevent Balde from winning the award. However, the votes from fans do not determine the winner as the votes from journalists have the final say. Bellingham did end up winning the award, which, in my opinion, should have been won by Musiala, who had a better season.
