According to reports by Fabrizio Romano Brazilian club Palmeiras has approached Barcelona to inquire about Vitor Roque. Vitor Roque has no future at Barcelona in any case, no matter what happens with Palmeiras and Betis. The young striker does not seem to be in plans of Hansi Flick and Barca is keen on making revenue by selling him.
Vitor Roque himself is not purely against the idea of moving back to Brazil in hopes of playing in the Club World Cup. The youngster hopes to renew his potential back at home and make big European clubs realize his worth.
Should Barca really sell Roque?
Although selling Vitor Roque might not seem a bad option right now to make revenue and prepare for the summer transfer window. However, I would argue that it would not be such a bad idea to keep him for another season since Barca only has one striker on their squad. Ferran Torres is doing a fantastic job in that department but injuries can lead to a drought of crisis in the team. Barca should always be prepared for the worst, and in the summer transfer window,, the emphasis will be more on signing a center-back and a winger. Barca is trying their best to get a lethal striker, but if that operation fails, Vitor Roque can be a good backup.
