Will Ansu Play for Barcelona Ever Again?

Hansi Flick has made it clear, he has no intentions to keep Ansu Fati at the club. This is evident as Fati has not made any appearance since the start of the new year in the Copa Del Rey game against Barbastro.

Ansu wants to stay

Ansu Fati wants to stay at the club and will fight to find minutes. Barcelona sees Fati as a burden, he is the third most-paid player in Barcelona’s squad. If Barcelona had been successful in offloading him in the transfer window, this could’ve made Barcelona’s FFP problems quite easier. This would’ve allowed the Catalans to go for the signing of Marcus Rashford, but Fati had no intention of leaving the club.

Despite Fati’s decision to stay at the club, the youngster has many offers. The clubs interested in the Spaniard are Sevilla, Betis, Ajax, and Betsikas. Many European clubs are interested in him but do not want to pay the full wages that Barcelona offers, the most viable offer from the clubs is a loan offer.

What’s Next?

In my opinion, Flick is not completely against the player. Flick has shown his trust by not fully intending for the player’s departure. If Ansu Fati works hard, he can get his place back. The player who once had the whole of Europe with him became no one in just a few years. Fati is suffering mentally due to many reasons, one is criticism, secondly the pressure of being the number 10, and much more. He has been working hard in training but still doesn’t impress the manager.

Ansu still has that spark and just needs a little more time to regain his confidence. When he gets back to his full form and regains his momentum, there will be no stopping. His comeback is still pending and I am eagerly waiting for him to be back. As Lamine is out due to his unfortunate injury and Ansu returning from his injury, Flick has an option of playing Ansu in Copa Del Rey games. I think Flick will provide him with the chance and he will prove himself.
